A winless Tottenham travel to the City Ground for their 3rd Premier League game of the season, with Roberto De Zerbi desperate to get his side off the mark amidst growing pressure and frustration from the fanbase.
Spurs are still yet to score a goal in the league, being 1 of just 3 clubs in the Premier League not to do so (Aston Villa, Coventry).
They were battered 3-0 by Brentford on the opening weekend and bruised in a 2-0 defeat at home to Newcastle last time out.
De Zerbi has admitted it will take time for the Lilywhites to get to their very best after a chaotic transfer window - something that has not provided much inspiration to supporters.
Regarding team news, the Spurs boss told the press yesterday that James Maddison is still a doubt, but “other players are all good”; hence, Savio is fully fit to make his Premier League debut for the club after missing out last week with muscle fatigue.
New signing Mykhaylo Mudryk is also available for selection, although De Zerbi said he “needs time to be able to start”.
Dejan Kulusevski may even make the matchday squad for the first time in over 480 days, having returned to full team training this week. It is doubtful the Swede would yet make an appearance on the pitch, however.
Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert are dealing with longer-term injuries and will not feature for a long time.
For Oliver Glasner and Notts Forest, new signing Daniel Muñoz is available after his transfer from Crystal Palace. Nicolo Savona will be absent from the City Ground on Saturday, with Ibrahima Sangare a doubt after missing the trip to Anfield last week.
Tottenham have suffered defeats in their last four meetings with Forest. Another loss today will be the first time the Lilywhites have lost their opening 3 league matches since 1979.
The Reds have, however, only won 1 of their last 12 Premier League home games.
For Spurs, it feels pretty must-win already - their season has to start today.
